Terms
The terms of the BARE trial
The trial
BARE Events is provided by Joanne McGregor, a sole trader trading as BARE Events. During the trial BARE is free to use. It is still being developed, so features may change, be added or be removed, and things won’t always work perfectly. Your honest feedback is a big part of the trial, and we’re grateful for it.
If we ever introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you well in advance. Nothing you use during the trial will be charged for without your agreement.
Your account
- Please use your own email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be 18 or over to create an account.
Your content
Everything you add to BARE stays yours. You give us permission to store it, copy it between your devices and show it to the people you invite, only so that we can provide BARE to you. You can download a backup of your plan at any time from Wedding Settings.
Please only add information you have a good reason to use, including your guests’ details, and don’t upload anything unlawful, or photographs you don’t have the right to use.
If you publish a wedding website, anyone with its link can see what you put on it, so only include what you’re happy for your guests and others to see.
Fair use
BARE is for planning weddings. Please don’t try to get into accounts or plans that aren’t yours, interfere with the service, or use it to send unwanted messages. To keep BARE running smoothly there are sensible limits, for example on how many photos can be stored. We may pause an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll explain why.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep BARE available and your plan safe, but during the trial we provide it as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of mistakes. Please keep your own copy of anything essential, such as supplier contracts and payment records, and double-check important details like dates and payments with your suppliers.
We’re not responsible for decisions you make using BARE, for your arrangements with suppliers, or for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited, or affects your rights as a consumer.
Ending your account
You can stop using BARE at any time and delete your account and everything in it from Wedding Settings. Plans are kept for 12 months after the wedding date and then deleted. If the trial ends, or we decide to close BARE, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can download your plan first.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms as BARE develops. If a change matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Get in touch, and see our privacy policy for how we handle your information.
